Happy New Year to all my readers (+ 2012 in review)

For my readers - if I could send you all a bunch of flowers, I would :)

For my readers – if I could send you all a bunch of flowers, I would 🙂

Happy New Year, everybody! I hope you all have a cracking 2013, and have a great day celebrating today. I have just unwrapped a lovely present from WordPress.com, the annual review of my blog, and I am absolutely thrilled to see so many of you enjoying The Lady in Waiting. The majority of the readership is transatlantic (mostly the U.K., U.S.A, and Canada), but lots of other countries aren’t far behind. Thank you to all my readers, I really enjoy hearing feedback from you and chatting about all the various topics that crop up in this blog. I would like to say an extra special hello to the single readers in a number of countries: Hello to my reader in Angola! And my reader in Ethiopia! Hello, Iran! And Uzbekistan! And a very special hello to my reader who got past the government censorship regime to read my blog from all the way over there in China!

Enjoy reading the stats, and watching the fireworks 🙂

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 70,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
