Anita Ekberg was the woman in one of the most iconic images of the twentieth century, the blonde temptress in Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita. Taking a dip in the Trevi Fountain wearing a form-fitting 1950s ball gown was the epitome of glamour, and her poster hung on my wall as inspiration all the way through college. Anita Ekberg may have died an old lady in her bed, but to me she will always be the siren in the Trevi Fountain.
