Early September is my favorite time of the year – still sunny, but with a crisp chill in the air that promises all the beauty of Autumn just around the corner. A great time of the year to enjoy a brisk walk along the Cornish cliffs and get some fresh sea air into your lungs.

Living in the countryside on the Nottinghamshire border, so proud to call this beautiful corner of Britain home. I started this blog over ten years ago - but it feels like yesterday! Visit my blog to see some beautiful pictures. View all posts by Lauren | The Lady in Waiting
It looks a lovely place! I’d really like to go there one day.

I thought it was Cornwall! glad autumn is coming by – here in California, the cool is just starting to creep in, much to everyone’s relief.

I know just what you mean. There’s always a tremendous social pressure in Britain to love the summer and say things like “a proper summer at last!” and to enjoy any heat as much as possible by doing lots of silly things like running, cycling, hiking in high temperatures that other Europeans would consider mad or borderline dangerous… but I have to admit… I secretly like it when it starts to get a bit chilly as we move into autumn. Log fires and gingerbread men are more my thing! 🙂
